Saturday December 7th was the day for our 2019 Lighting Up Party!
The Lighting Up Party started at 5pm hosted by Sandgrounder Radio and featuring performances by the students from The So Talented Academy of Theatre Arts based in Wayfarers Arcade Southport. At 5:50 we were treated to some fun and mayhem by Starkidz Christmas Elves. Approx 400 people attended - our biggest turnout yet and enjoyed hot food, hot chocolate, sweets and hundreds of Santa hats all free in retrun for a donation to Freshfields Animal Rescue represented by Dogsby!
We're delighted to be sponsored by a group of Slimming World consultants from the Southport and Formby areas comprising: Chris Chubbs, Elizabeth Savage, Viv Forrestill, Jayne Norbury, Carol Wylie & Fiona Foulder. If you are contemplating getting a few pounds off after Christmas please help them to help us by joining one of their groups with special offers available on leaflets from the lightshow.
The show this year will be the brightest yet as we hope to have the biggest yet collection for Freshfields Animal Rescue. the fundraising team have worked out it costs £1500 to run the Liverpool site for 24 hours so that's our target, to collect enough money for a day's worth of animal care and love.
This season we have a whole new collection of songs thanks to our friends in the US where these lightshows are big business. Take a look at our page Show Times to see the set lists for the different days of the show so you can see your favourite tunes brought to life.
If you've been bitten by the bug and want to plan your own show then check out Build A Lightshow the team there have imported a pile of gear from the US and China to save you all the hassle and import duty etc.
